Two Separate Cuba-bound Relief Ships Reported Lost after Departing Mexico.
A large-scale rescue and recovery operation is actively under way in the Caribbean Sea for a duo of missing boats loaded with relief goods traveling from the Mexican coast to Havana.

Authorities in Mexico has deployed naval teams and reconnaissance aircraft to search for the two vessels, which were had on board a minimum of nine personnel, as stated by a official statement.
The boats had been expected to make landfall in Havana on Tuesday or Wednesday, but there has been no communication from them and no confirmation of their safe arrival, authorities reported.

The nine-person crew are from France, Poland, the United States, and Cuba. Officials said it has established contact with rescue coordination centers from those nations along with their consular staff.
"The group is collaborating completely with the relevant authorities and are still optimistic in the crews' ability to reach Havana safely," the official further stated.
Recent Relief Mission
Just days before, the Cuban government warmly welcomed and officially received a different ship that had transported 14 tons of donated goods to the country.
That vessel, called "a modern Granma" in reference to the vessel in which the revolutionary leader came back to Cuba to begin the Cuban Revolution in the 1950s, brought solar panels, medicines, formula milk, cycles and provisions.
