Los Blancos' Trent Alexander-Arnold Could Return to Face His Former Club in November's European Fixture

The English defender training

Real Madrid signed Trent Alexander-Arnold with a six-year agreement

The defender's recovery is advancing well, giving a chance that the Real Madrid right-back may be fit in time to confront his previous club Liverpool in the upcoming Champions League tie.

The 27-year-old international sustained a muscle strain while playing against French side Marseille in the initial phase of the tournament on 16 September.

Alexander-Arnold had to leave the pitch in the fifth minute, with initial indications pointing to a potential absence of up to a month and a half.

Real Madrid will travel to play at Liverpool on 4 November for the European match—just seven weeks since the incident took place.

Sources familiar with the player's condition state that the defender's comeback is moving along well, and there is optimism that Alexander-Arnold could make his first comeback to Anfield since joining Los Blancos in the summer.

A devoted Liverpool supporter, Alexander-Arnold earlier stated that departing from the club he joined as a six-year-old academy talent was the "most difficult decision he has ever made."

During his time with the Merseyside club, Alexander-Arnold accumulated over 350 games, helping claim two English top-flight titles, a Champions League, and the domestic cup.

After joining to the Spanish capital, Alexander-Arnold has played on five occasions across various tournaments, totaling 156 minutes of playing time.
