Yet, even so, the current vitriolic state of popular sentiment is confusing and concerning. The Labour leader is the most disliked prime minister on record. Really?

He is a respectable, earnest individual of positive aims, lacking excessive pride or ego. Compare that with the Conservative leader, the short-lived PM, or the relaxed confidence of the former Conservative leader, each achieving minimal to explain their overconfidence.

Governing Difficulties

But, say the people, the Labour leader is more ineffective. As prime minister, he lacks leadership appeal, observers note: more importantly, he doesn't possess governing flexibility, innovative approaches or instinct for changing opinions.

The Way Forward

Officials face a contradiction: Labour's only hope resides in hopelessness. Assume they will be wiped out whatever, so employ their parliamentary advantage for four more years to pursue their inherent progressive principles: implement substantial tax changes, increasing government income.

Prepare for opposition the next election, so take decisive action currently. Disregard popularity ratings and voter research; enable the public to witness authentic dedication. The sole method to rebuild credibility is to do transparently what they consider most just and equitable.

Labour's duty is to take all necessary measures to block this outcome. Anticipate alliances, be acceptable to progressive partners when political labels matters less than the essential limit against a governance risk unseen in contemporary politics.

That's a purpose to overcome hopelessness.
